Information about admissions, eligibility, and procedures

Admission to B.E.

• Passed Second PUC/12th Standard/Equivalent Examination with English as one of the subjects.

• Obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science.

• A minimum of 40% aggregate marks is required for SC, ST, Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B candidates.

• Foreign/NRI students are also eligible for admission to B.E. courses and must possess a valid Student Visa.

Admission to B.E. (Lateral Entry)

• Passed a Diploma Examination or equivalent examination, or possess a B.Sc. degree from a recognized university as defined by the UGC.

• Obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

• A minimum of 40% aggregate marks is required for SC, ST, Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B candidates.

• Foreign/NRI students are also eligible for admission to B.E. courses and must possess a valid Student Visa.

Admission to M.Tech.

• Passed the prescribed qualifying examination (B.E./B.Tech.).

• Obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all semesters/years of the degree examination.

• Must possess a valid PGCET score.

• For candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/Category-1, the minimum aggregate marks required shall be 45%.

Admission to MBA

• Passed a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all years of the degree examination.

• Rounding off of aggregate percentage is not permitted.

• For candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/Category-1 and OBC categories, the minimum aggregate percentage required shall be 45%.

Admission Through Entrance Tests

• Candidates qualified in PGCET/CAT/MAT/KMAT are eligible for admission.

Application and Prospectus

• The application form and prospectus can be obtained from the College Office on payment of Rs. 1,000/- in cash.

• Alternatively, a Demand Draft for the same amount may be sent in favour of "The Principal, VNEC, Shorapur".
