Engineering First Year Department
The Department of Mathematics has been established since 2010. It offers Engineering Mathematics I, Engineering Mathematics II, Engineering Mathematics III, Engineering Mathematics IV, Discrete Mathematical Structures, and Graph Theory for B.E. students.
The Department of Chemistry has been established since the inception of the institution. The Department consists of well-qualified and experienced faculty and staff working towards the objectives of the institution. The Department aims at providing sound knowledge in fundamental subjects, which is essential for all engineering students. The faculty members are committed to career growth and institutional progress and are actively engaged in pursuing research through sustained effort. The teaching staff of the Department has published many papers in national and international journals. The major areas of research are nanoscience, medicinal chemistry, membrane technology, and natural products.
The Department of Physics has come into existence since the inception of the Institute in 2001. Engineering Physics is common for first-year students of all branches. The Department is involved in teaching Engineering Physics theory and laboratory courses to the students of different engineering disciplines. The Department of Physics has 9 well-qualified and experienced faculty members. The Department has very good infrastructure with a working area of 392 sq. m, consisting of a spacious laboratory, a dark room, a staff room, and a departmental library.
Courses such as Environmental Science, Constitution of India, Ethics, and Technical Communication are conducted under the aegis of the Department of Humanities.
