Undergraduate Programme (UG – EEE)
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2010 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. The major thrust of this course is related to the basic principles and detailed analysis of different types of equipment and systems for the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy. The course also covers the study of electronic devices and circuits involved in the measurement, instrumentation, control, and protection of electrical equipment and conversion systems. Concepts of computers and recent applications of computer-based systems in the design, analysis, and efficient operation of power systems, while maintaining quality and security, are also included in the course.
The faculty always strives to impart better knowledge to the students, works as a team in all the department activities, and never compromises on the quality and standard of teaching. The laboratories are well equipped not only to cater to the needs of carrying out experiments in various subjects but also to carry out research work. The department regularly organizes industrial visits and technical lectures by experts from industries and institutes in contemporary areas to bridge the gap between the syllabus and current developments.
